Los Angeles- Taylor Swift finally shakes off all the rumours of her dating life with her recent engagement to Travis Kelce.

In a recent Instagram post released this Tuesday, the American artist joked “Your English teacher and gym teacher are getting married.” After adding several photos of the recent engagement alongside the humorous caption and uploading it online, the post managed to secure more than 18 million likes within the first four hours of its release.

Many Taylor Swift fans (Swifties) and employees from the PA news agency pointed out the fact that the engagement ring featured in the photos was an old mine brilliant cut, designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewellery. A brand whose ring costs up to 550,000 usd all on its own.

Many celebrities congratulated the happy couple, including Travis’s teammates from his professional football team— the Kansas City Chiefs who posted on X “Congrats to Travis and Taylor – we’re excited to have you as a permanent member of the Chiefs Kingdom family!”

Brands like DuoLingo quipped, “But when will it be your Spanish teacher’s turn?” while others like Buffalo Wild Wings instead offered to cater the wedding with their brand specialities for “the wedding of the century”.

Even US president Donald Trump had nothing but praises and well-wishes for the couple as he said, “I wish them a lot of luck… I think he’s a great player. A great guy. And I think she’s a terrific person.”

After all this time, Taylor Swift finally got the love story she’s been writing about in some of her songs. Let’s hope that the wedding will be just as grand as the engagement itself.
