25 Jan 2025 MHT launches international tender to market Oman Botanic Garden

Muscat – Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) has announced an international tender inviting advertising agencies to develop a comprehensive marketing and communication plan for the much-anticipated Oman Botanic Garden.

MHT aims to position the landmark conservation project as a premier natural and cultural destination both locally and globally.

The tender requires agencies to submit a detailed plan that includes market analysis, visual and media identity, and innovative promotional strategies for digital campaigns, traditional media and interactive events. The proposal should also include an implementation schedule and performance indicators to ensure marketing objectives are met. The deadline for tender document sales is February 9 with bid submissions closing on March 4.

Spread over 500 hectares, Oman Botanic Garden is expected to officially open later this year. It is poised to become one of the largest botanic gardens in the world, blending tourism, education and scientific research. Designed to attract an estimated 800,000 visitors annually, the garden will feature modern amenities, extensive recreational and educational facilities, and immersive exhibits.

Through its initiatives, the garden aims to raise awareness of Oman’s unique biodiversity and the importance of conservation. ‘Oman Botanic Garden will serve as a cornerstone of the nation’s efforts to preserve its natural heritage for future generations,’ the ministry stated.
