Muscat – The Council of Administrative Affairs for the Judiciary will set up three evening labour courts in the Governorate of Muscat to expedite labour dispute resolution.

A statement said, ‘The council has issued a decision to form three evening labour courts in Muscat, in each of the courts of first instance in Muscat, Seeb and Amerat, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour and Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-Up Unit, to speed up resolution of labour disputes.’

The decision aims to implement the provisions of the law, simplify litigation procedures and shorten litigation time, besides improving the business environment and reducing the number of court visitors.
‘Most beneficiaries of the new decision will be workers, businessmen and investors.’
