Muscat – Muscat Municipality is all set to enhance the parking management system in Al Khuwair and Ghubra with the activation of smart parking sensors on Sunday.

In collaboration with private sector entities, these vehicle imaging sensors will be operational in designated paid public parking areas, so as to improve that efficiency of the management and convenience for the users.

In an official statement, the Muscat Municipality underscored its commitment to advancing smart and sustainable city solutions. ‘The introduction of these sensors is part of broader efforts to modernise the city’s infrastructure and provide better services to the public.’

To facilitate parking reservations, residents have several options. They can use an SMS service by texting 90091, their vehicle plate numbers, plate codes, and the desired parking duration in minutes.
