Oman’s general budget achieves RO 18m surplus in January 2022

Muscat – Oman’s public revenues at the end of January 2022 increased by 85.2 per cent to reach RO 803.3 million, compared to the same period in 2021.

The monthly financial accounts issued by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) indicate that the state’s public spending for the month of January 2022 increased by 9.59 per cent to reach RO 785.3 million, including public debt service provisions of RO 162.4 million.

According to MoF, the state’s general budget achieved a financial surplus of about RO 18 million in January 2022, compared to a financial deficit of RO 282.9 million in January 2021.
