Muscat – The Oman Commercial Arbitration Centre (OCAC) is set to embark on a new chapter in its development journey with the unveiling of a new institutional identity and the launch of updated arbitration rules for 2026, marking what the centre describes as a strategic transformation aimed at strengthening Oman’s position as a regional hub for commercial dispute resolution.
The announcement will be made during a special event scheduled for June 10. The event is expected to bring together legal experts, arbitrators, business leaders and representatives from both the public and private sectors.
According to the centre, the launch represents a significant milestone in its efforts to align with international best practices and enhance the efficiency, transparency and flexibility of arbitration proceedings in the sultanate.
The event will feature the official introduction of the 2026 Arbitration Rules, which are expected to provide a modern framework for resolving commercial disputes and reflect the evolving needs of businesses operating in increasingly complex markets.
In addition to the new rules, the centre will unveil its refreshed visual identity and logo, underscoring its commitment to innovation and institutional development. The rebranding initiative is designed to reinforce the centre’s role in supporting a competitive investment environment and promoting confidence among local and international investors.
The programme will also include the release of the centre’s 2025 annual report, highlighting key achievements, case statistics, institutional growth and strategic initiatives undertaken during the past year.
Another announcement will be the launch of the Arbitration Competition and the details of Muscat Arbitration Days 2026, a flagship event that aims to foster legal excellence, encourage knowledge exchange and strengthen professional capabilities in the field of arbitration.
The centre said the comprehensive package of initiatives reflects its vision to elevate arbitration services in Oman and contribute to the sultanate’s broader economic and investment ambitions by providing effective and internationally recognised dispute-resolution mechanisms.
