Doha – A telephone call took place between Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and H E Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister. During the call, the two sides reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries and discussed ways to support and enhance them.

The ministers discussed the latest regional developments, particularly ongoing consultations between Oman and Iran. These discussions centre on a proposed phased framework that includes the creation of a joint temporary navigational corridor through the Strait of Hormuz and an agreement to carry out a joint project to clear the Strait of mines.

During the call, Foreign Minister of Qatar affirmed Qatar’s appreciation for Oman’s brotherly efforts and its complete support for Omani diplomatic initiatives dedicated to de-escalation and the strengthening of regional stability.
