Muscat – Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has issued a reminder concerning the use of national symbols and emblems on commercial products. Businesses and individuals are required to obtain official approval to ensure these symbols are used respectfully and correctly.

To obtain approval, applicants must submit their request in person to the Licensing Department. This submission must include clear images of the product that demonstrate exactly how and where the national emblem or symbol will be applied.
The final deadline for submitting these applications is 15 October 2026. The Ministry emphasises that this process is vital to protect national symbols and promote their responsible use within the community and marketplace.
