Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman has announced the official holiday for Eid Al Fitr 1446 AH for both the public and private sectors, following Royal Orders. The holiday will begin on Saturday, March 29, 2025, with the resumption of work depending on the confirmed sighting of the Shawwal moon.
If Eid Al Fitr falls on Sunday, March 30, employees will return to work on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. However, if Eid begins on Monday, March 31, the holiday will extend, and work will resume on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
The announcement provides clarity for businesses and individuals, allowing them to plan their celebrations accordingly. Authorities have urged the public to stay updated on the official confirmation of Eid’s commencement based on the moon sighting.
