Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Sayyid Badr al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, delivered a message from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan during a reception held by the latter in Tashkent on Monday.
The messaged pertained to bilateral relations between the two countries and peoples, and ways to enhance these in various fields.
Earlier in the day, Sayyid Badr held a meeting with Bakhtiyor Saidov, his Uzbek counterpart. During the meeting, the two ministers discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways of promoting these in various fields. They expressed their aspiration to boost cooperation in economic, trade and investment sectors, in addition to the fields of education, culture, tourism and renewable energy.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for cooperation in infrastructure and logistics in a way that enhances economic partnership and achieves common interests. They also deliberated on a set of regional and international matters of common interest, while pointing to the importance of enhancing consultation and coordination to back stability and security and achieve sustainable development for all.
The meeting was attended by Sayyida Wafa Jabr al Busaidi, Ambassador of Oman to Uzbekistan, and several officials from both sides.
