Muscat –  HE Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received Scott Gilmore, Adviser to the Canadian Prime Minister for Foreign, Defence and Security Policy, in Muscat on Wednesday.

During the meeting, both sides affirmed their shared interest in strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Canada across a range of sectors, including trade and investment, education, academic exchange and diplomatic engagement.

The discussions also covered a number of regional and international developments. Both sides highlighted the importance of enhancing consultation and coordination, as well as advancing multilateral mechanisms to address emerging global challenges.

They underscored the need to reinforce dialogue and diplomacy as key tools to support stability, promote peaceful coexistence and foster constructive international cooperation, while maintaining balance in global relations.
