Musat –The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has launched a specialised training programme under the ‘Qaderoon’ initiative to equip individuals with hearing disabilities for employment in the hospitality sector, in a move to strengthen an inclusive labour market.

The programme will prepare participants for roles across hotels and hospitality establishments through targeted, industry-aligned training, enabling businesses to tap into qualified Omani talent.

The ministry said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities and enhance their integration into the tourism workforce, in line with national goals for social inclusion and sustainable development.

Hospitality establishments across the sultanate have been urged to participate in the programme and benefit from a structured framework that supports workforce integration while addressing operational needs.

As part of the rollout, the ministry has opened dedicated channels for coordination and registration, including a digital sign-up platform accessible via the ministry’s website.

Officials noted that the initiative not only supports jobseekers with hearing impairments but also encourages the private sector to adopt inclusive hiring practices, contributing to a more diverse and resilient tourism industry.
