Duqm – The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) has completed two mountain hiking trails in the picturesque coastal town of Duqm.

Jassim Mohammed al Alawi, Executive Director of Darbek Company, which is developing the trek, said that the first 3km track can be covered in 30 to 50 minutes for one to reach the highlands overlooking the Turtle Beach. The second track is 9km long and requires physical fitness.

Alawi pointed out that all necessary safety tools, facilities and instructions have been provided for the hikers to understand and prepare for the challenges.

He stressed that the company’s projects in the Special Economic Zone in Duqm were successful and they can be replicated in the coming years in other tourist sites in Oman.
