Muscat – As part of its efforts to accelerate delivery of services and facilitate conduct of commercial activities, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has cancelled the fee for annual renewal of permits for commercial signboards. It also stated that the permit application facility will now be available in the Invest Easy portal.

A statement issued by MTCIT said, ‘The service of issuing commercial signage permits has been transferred from the municipalities to the Invest Easy portal.’

A service fee of RO15 has to be paid once upon submission of the application. ‘To simplify the process, the annual renewal fee for commercial signboard permits has been cancelled.’
