Muscat – Ministry of Labour (MoL), in collaboration with Oman Post and relevant authorities, has announced the implementation of a new system for medical examinations and visa procedures for the workforce arriving from the Republic of the Philippines. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to regulate recruitment processes and improve the overall quality and efficiency of services provided to expatriate workers. The new regulations are scheduled to come into effect on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Recruitment agencies have been instructed to strictly follow the approved procedures when submitting applications for workers from the Philippines. These processes must be completed through official channels prior to the workers’ entry into the Sultanate of Oman. To ensure widespread compliance, the relevant procedures are being circulated to external agencies in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines. For further information or to submit applications, stakeholders can utilise the official electronic link at www.ovmc.omanpost.om or contact dedicated customer service lines.
