Value of real estate deals in Oman rise 17.4% in February: NCSI data

Muscat – The value of real estate transactions in the sultanate increased 17.4 per cent to RO447.3mn in February, compared to RO381.1mn during the same period in 2022, according to the latest data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Fees collected for legal transactions amounted to RO12.5mn at the end of February, constituting an increase of 22.8 per cent when compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

The value of sale contracts amounted to RO207.5mn, the value of mortgage contracts rose to RO238.3mn, while the value of swap contracts reached RO1.5mn.

The number of title deeds issued in February reached 39,79, while the number of title deeds issued to citizens of GCC countries increased 41.9 per cent to 210 compared to 148 in February 2022.
