iLife Digital, a developer of innovative technologies has announced the launch of ‘Misa’ – a next-generation social family robot, which will be available in Oman from October 30. 

Misa, which responds to its name, is first-of-its-kind, making a perfect addition to any household as it is uniquely designed to handle almost everything. 

This includes playing with or teaching children, handling daily schedule/tasks with ease, home automation and surveillance, supporting elderly care and more. 

The multilingual robot understands ten languages – French, English, Dutch, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese and Korean. iLife’s robotics team is currently developing Misa to communicate in Arabic.

Misa is equipped with a range of high-tech sensors, AI, 7-inch IPS display and emotional intelligence that helps it easily learn, teach and interact with people.

Misa can interact socially like a human friend expressing certain emotions. It is also designed to provide personal assistance – ask information, schedule meetings/ reminders, video calling, chat, etc.

Misa comes preloaded with thousands of hours of safe and ad-free games, books, learning apps and videos all from top brands that families prefer and love such as Little Miss, The Moomins, Mr Bean, Peter Rabbit, Mr Men and more. 

Misa is capable of providing elderly care like having a nurse 24×7, by monitoring medication and alerting if meds are not taken properly, especially for seniors who have serious medical conditions such as poor vision, memory lapses, etc. 

It also provides video calling/ surveillance feature for expats from anywhere in the world to monitor parents who are alone.

Equipped with four wheels and a multitude of sensors, Misa is a fully mobile robot that works in tandem with Misa Connect app, which enables users to give directions to and control the robot remotely – making it a smart choice for home automation and remote video surveillance.
