Eid al Fitr holidays announced in Oman

On the occasion of the blessed Eid Al Fitr, and as per the Royal orders of His Majesty the Sultan, H E Abdullah bin Nassir al Bakri, Minister of Manpower and H E Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Civil Service Council, have issued decisions on Eid Al Fitr holidays for the private sector as well as state administrative apparatus.  

As per the decision, the holidays will start from 29 Ramadhan 1441 AH, corresponding to May 23, 2020.

The holiday ends on Tuesday, May 26, in case the first day of Eid falls on Sunday, May 24. And in case the first day of the Eid falls on Monday, May 25, the holiday will end on Thursday, May 28.  

The decision allows employers and employees to agree on work arrangements during the holiday, if the necessity arises.
