As an attempt to develop the services provided to residents and citizens, Muscat Municipality has taken some steps to modernise the facilities of the Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits in Mawaleh.

The municipality’s initiative includes creating new entrances, car park and passage for forklifts, developing internal paths, customs inspection area and creating a place for loading goods for wholesale merchants.

At the market, the civic body is also looking to build a rainwater drainage channel and 42 new toilets.
