17 Mar 2026

Muscat – As part of engaging the community in the spirit of giving and in preparation for Eid, Knowledge Oman collaborated with Techno Plastic to launch the “Eid Joy” initiative to support children battling cancer at the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.

The humanitarian initiative aimed to spread joy among young patients and their families during the Eid season. Volunteers visited three hospital departments and distributed Eid gifts to more than 70 children undergoing treatment, along with their families. Gifts were also presented to parents in recognition of their patience and continuous support throughout their children’s treatment journey.

Students from the National University of Science and Technology also participated as volunteers, assisting in organizing the visit and distributing gifts, demonstrating the important role youth play in supporting community initiatives.

“Eid is a time of compassion, generosity, and togetherness. Through the ‘Eid Joy’ initiative, we wanted to bring moments of happiness and hope to children undergoing treatment and remind them and their families that the community stands beside them. We are grateful to our partners and the volunteers who helped make this initiative meaningful.”, said Tariq Al Barwani, Knowledge Oman Founder.

The initiative further honored healthcare professionals at the hospital with tokens of appreciation for their dedication and compassion in caring for the children.

The “Eid Joy” initiative reflects the power of collaboration, volunteerism, and social responsibility in spreading hope and happiness among children and families facing difficult challenges.
