Sur – Water rescue teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department (CDAA) in South Sharqiyah successfully rescued a person who fell from a rocky cliff into the sea in the Shiya area of Sur.

The individual was located, given emergency medical care on-site, and transferred to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The swift response highlights the preparedness and efficiency of Oman’s rescue teams in handling such life-threatening incidents.

 ‘NIDAA’ app, launched in 2022, by CDAA is designed to help emergency teams locate and respond to distress calls more quickly, especially in remote or rugged terrain.

Using the app can make a critical difference in emergency situations, improving both response times and rescue outcomes.
