Winners announced for 34th Seoul Music Awards

22 Jun 2025

Seoul- After a five-month delay, the 34th Seoul Music Awards finally took place on June 21 at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea, drawing top K-pop stars and delivering a night of standout performances and surprise wins celebrating 2024’s biggest achievements in Korean music.

One of the night’s biggest moments was girl group I-DLE (formerly known as (G)I-DLE) winning their first-ever Daesang (Grand Prize), marking the first time in 14 years that a girl group has claimed the top honour.

Popular boy band TXT also dominated the event, taking home three major awards: Best Album, Best Song for Déjà vu, and a Bonsang (Main Prize). Other big names recognised on the night included ENHYPEN, G-DRAGON and BLACKPINK.

BTS continued their award streak with member Jimin receiving the Korean Wave Award for his contribution to promoting Korean culture globally. BLACKPINK’s Rosé made history as the first female solo artist to win a Bonsang at the Seoul Music Awards, adding to her success with the World Best Artist Award for her latest album Rosie.

As the curtain closed on this year’s ceremony, fans are already anticipating what’s next for these record-setting artists.
