Energy Oman launches new corporate identity

Muscat – Energy Oman, formerly known as Energy Development Oman, has officially launched its new corporate identity, marking a strategic step that reflects the company’s continued growth, adaptation to global changes and strengthened role in Oman’s economic ecosystem.

The company’s new identity reflects its commitment to guiding and leading the transition towards a sustainable future for Oman’s energy sector.

The launch is also aligned with the national mandate assigned to Energy Oman, which includes managing and developing national resources, improving the efficiency of sector management, directing investments that enhance financial and economic returns, and supporting local content and the sustainability of the oil, gas and renewable energy sectors.

In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), Mazin Rashid Al Lamki, Chief Executive Officer of Energy Oman, said, “At Energy Oman, we work to guide and enhance the sultanate’s energy sector. This step represents a qualitative shift in how we showcase our corporate identity and reflect our presence both locally and internationally.”

He added, “We rely on an approach centred on discovering opportunities, establishing robust governance and responsibility, and shaping best practices. Energy Oman continues to operate with high efficiency and international standards to build trust through results, creating a self-sustaining economic engine.”

Energy Oman was established in December 2020 by Royal Decree (2020/128) to focus on realising efficiencies and pursuing new growth opportunities in Oman’s energy sector. The company’s stated vision is to be a world-class partner for growth while driving a sustainable energy future.

The company works on the development of energy and alternative energy sector in line with Oman Vision 2040. Energy Oman owns 60% of Block 6 oil concession, 100% of Block 6 non-associated gas concession, and 100% of Hydrogen Oman (Hydrom).
