Muscat – The National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) Relief and Shelter Sector has formally activated 5 shelter centres to assist those affected by the climate situation. These facilities are strategically located across various governorates to provide immediate refuge and essential support.
Official statistics confirm that a total of 119 individuals have already been safely received and housed within these activated centres. The sector continues to provide all necessary services and logistical support to the residents in these locations. Authorities remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all people within the Sultanate of Oman as the weather event progresses. The National Committee for Emergency Management is closely monitoring the situation to ensure that relief efforts meet the needs of those displaced or seeking assistance.
