Muscat – Muscat Municipality continues to intensify its efforts to ensure public safety and maintain essential services across the governorate following the rainfall. The municipality has been actively responding to reports from citizens and residents around the clock, demonstrating its commitment to swift action and effective coordination during weather-related situations.

Through its dedicated operations center, Muscat Municipality receives reports 24 hours a day and immediately dispatches specialised field teams to affected locations, the civic body stated.

‘These teams are working continuously to address water accumulation in streets and residential areas, remove debris, and ensure that drainage systems function efficiently. Their rapid response helps minimise disruption to daily life and enhances safety for road users and pedestrians.’

Municipal crews are also carrying out extensive cleaning operations across several areas impacted by the rainfall. Using specialised equipment and vehicles, teams are removing standing water and clearing blocked drains to prevent further accumulation. These efforts are complemented by routine inspections to monitor conditions and ensure that all necessary measures are taken to safeguard public infrastructure and the surrounding environment. Muscat Municipality added that its field teams will remain on duty throughout the day and night as long as weather conditions require continued intervention. Residents are encouraged to report any issues through the municipality’s communication channels to help authorities respond quickly and maintain the safety and cleanliness of public spaces.
