Muscat – Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, has announced a complete closure of Al Jabal Street, specifically the Amerat mountain pass, for motorists travelling from the Wilayat of Amerat towards the Wilayat of Bausher.

This temporary closure is part of ongoing maintenance work on essential infrastructure and aims to complete the removal of falling rocks along the side protections of the road.

The closure will begin on the evening of Thursday, July 30, 2026, and will remain in effect until the evening of Saturday, August 1, 2026. Authorities advise motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and follow alternative routes during this maintenance period to ensure public safety.
