Dhofar – Royal Oman Police (ROP) successfully executed an air evacuation mission to transport the bodies of four citizens who lost their lives in a tragic road accident.

The victims were involved in a collision between their vehicle and a truck in the Nimr region. Following the incident, the deceased were moved from the Wilayat of Shalim and Hallaniyat Islands to the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali. Additionally, another individual injured in the crash was airlifted to Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah to receive necessary medical treatment.

In light of this incident, the Royal Oman Police has issued a formal appeal to all motorists to exercise caution on the roads. Authorities have emphasised the importance of adhering to traffic regulations, maintaining designated speed limits, and ensuring sufficient rest before embarking on long journeys.

The police also strongly advised drivers to avoid the use of mobile phones while operating their vehicles, underscoring that these measures are essential for the safety of all road users and to ensure everyone reaches their destinations securely.
