Muscat – The telecommunications sector has officially announced its full readiness for the Khareef Dhofar 2026 season. To ensure high-quality connectivity for the influx of seasonal tourists, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has implemented extensive infrastructure improvements across the governorate.

These upgrades include the installation of 29 new communication stations and the deployment of 13 dedicated stations along the Sultan Said bin Taimur Road to ensure safe and continuous connectivity for motorists.

Furthermore, 40 existing stations have been upgraded to 5G technology, while 58 network links and 30 transmission lines have been enhanced to increase capacity and stability. To manage high visitor density, 38 mobile communication stations have been strategically deployed across key locations to support increased network demand throughout the season.
