Suwaiq – Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has successfully seized an illegal furniture manufacturing site located in the Wilayat of Suwaiq.

In collaboration with relevant authorities, the Consumer Protection Office identified the site for failing to comply with established health and technical requirements. The workshop was found to be manufacturing home furniture using damaged wood and used sponge, which were then deceptively sold to consumers as new products.

During the operation, officials confiscated 3,000 kg of damaged materials alongside 50 pieces of finished and semi-finished furniture. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the violators.
