Muscat – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Oman Business Program in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with AmCham Oman, will convene senior executives from across the United States and the Gulf region for a high-level executive briefing with H.E. Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

The virtual briefing, titled “Navigating Regional Supply Chains: Oman’s Strategic Logistics Corridors,” will bring together business leaders, investors, and logistics decision-makers to discuss Oman’s role as a strategic gateway for global trade. The session marks the first jointly hosted ministerial engagement between the two organizations, reflecting growing international interest in Oman’s infrastructure.

Steve Lutes, Vice President of Middle East Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said: “Oman’s strategic position at the crossroads of the Indian Ocean, Arab Gulf, and Asian trade routes makes it a critical anchor for global supply chains, offering stability, world-class infrastructure, and access to regional markets. The briefing comes amid notable international recognition for Oman’s trade ecosystem. According to the World Bank’s Logistics Performance Indicators 2.0, Oman recently ranked first globally in Export Supply Chain Initiation and ninth globally in Import Supply Chain Termination, underscoring the efficiency of its ports and logistics operations.

The event forms part of ongoing efforts by both chambers to strengthen bilateral trade, promote investment opportunities, and deepen commercial ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the United States.
