Muscat – Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) seized a significant quantity of children’s consumer products that failed to meet essential health and safety requirements.
Judicial officers from the Anti-Commercial Fraud Department carried out the operation, which resulted in the confiscation of 55 boxes of cigarette-like candies and 387 boxes of syringe-shaped sweets. These items were withdrawn from commercial establishments due to concerns regarding their impact on children’s health and behaviour. The seized products have been confiscated, and the cases have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
