Muscat – The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Oman has formally expressed its deep appreciation and gratitude to the Omani government for its immediate response to a distress call involving a Yemeni vessel. The boat, carrying 23 passengers travelling from the Socotra Archipelago to Al Ghaydah in Al Mahrah Governorate, had encountered a technical failure at sea.

The Yemeni Embassy praised the highly efficient efforts of the Royal Navy of Oman, the Coast Guard, and other relevant authorities. The vessel was successfully towed to the port of Salalah, where the passengers were provided with necessary medical care, and the boat underwent required maintenance.
