Muscat – The main committee for sighting moon is scheduled to meet on Monday evening to determine the start of the month of Muharram for the Islamic year 1448 AH. The meeting will be presided over by H E Dr Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The Ministry has formally invited all citizens and residents to participate in the moon-sighting process. Public members are encouraged to collaborate with field teams stationed across various wilayats or to report observations directly to the sub-committees located at the offices of the Walis.
