Muscat – In a distinguished gesture of appreciation, H.E. Faisal Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, felicitated Oman-based social welfare worker Syed Shaandar Ali Shah Bukhari, acknowledging him as a “National Hero” for his outstanding humanitarian contributions.
The ceremony was held at the Oman Chamber headquarters in Muscat, where H.E. Faisal Al Rawas commended Shaandar Bukhari’s dedication to social service, particularly highlighting his courageous act of saving an Omani national from attempting suicide. He expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Sultanate and praised Bukhari’s selfless commitment to community welfare.
He further noted that recognizing and honoring such humanitarian acts reflects the noble values and vision upheld under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, which continues to encourage compassion, social responsibility, and community solidarity across the Sultanate.
As a mark of honor, Bukhari was presented with a special golden memento in recognition of his impactful efforts. Over the years, he has also played a significant role in facilitating the repatriation of more than 200 prisoners through community-driven initiatives, helping reunite individuals with their families.
Currently serving as Director Welfare in the Interim Committee of the Pakistan Social Club Oman, Bukhari continues to actively lead humanitarian initiatives supporting vulnerable communities.
The meeting and felicitation ceremony were facilitated by Ahmad Subhani, Member of the Foreign Investment Committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who was also present during the occasion.
The recognition highlights the impact of dedicated community service and reinforces the values of compassion, unity, and social responsibility within Omani society.
