Muscat – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has invited female Omani inventors and innovators to participate in the Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition – KIWIE 2026, a leading global exhibition focused on innovation and creative technologies.
The ministry said the initiative is part of efforts to enhance the international presence of Omani innovators and support the development of a knowledge-based economy by enabling local talent to present ideas on global platforms.
The exhibition will be held from July 16 to 18 at the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center in Seoul. It is expected to bring together more than 500 women inventors, entrepreneurs and start-ups from over 30 countries, showcasing products and technologies across multiple sectors.
According to MoCIIP, the event offers participants an opportunity to present inventions, explore emerging technologies and exchange expertise with innovators worldwide. It also enables participants to compete for international awards recognising outstanding achievements in innovation.
MoCIIP noted that participation in global exhibitions supports the promotion of Omani inventions, while opening avenues for collaboration, investment and commercialisation. It added that such engagements contribute to strengthening Oman’s innovation ecosystem and advancing economic diversification.
Omani female inventors, researchers and start-up founders interested in taking part have been invited to submit applications by May 15. Registration can be completed by sending the participation form via email. Participants may attend either in person or remotely. A nominal participation fee applies.
MoCIIP said the initiative reflects its commitment to empowering innovators and boosting Omani representation at major international innovation forums.
