The Oman Human Resources Management Association (OSHRM) formally recognised pioneering institutions and individuals at its prestigious Excellence in Human Resources Management Awards, held in Muscat.
The official awards ceremony, which was graced by the presence of H E Eng. Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, the Minister of Energy and Minerals, served to commend organisations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to human capital development and the implementation of innovative workplace strategies across the Sultanate. Dr. Ghalib bin Saif al Hosni, Chairman of OSHRM, emphasised the critical nature of the awards as a national platform for celebrating entities and individuals who have significantly contributed to enhancing working environments through empowerment and innovation. The rigorous evaluation process was founded upon stringent criteria, including institutional impact, sustainable practices, digital solutions, and employee welfare provisions.
Noteworthy corporate award recipients included the Civil Aviation Authority and Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel), who were recognised for their excellence in HR innovation. Furthermore, Occidental Oman was the recipient of the Digital Transformation award for its advanced digitisation of human resource operations. Sohar Port and Freezone and Oman Data Park were also distinguished for their proactive initiatives promoting employee health and wellbeing. Individual achievement was similarly acknowledged, with Faisal al Maamari being named Best HR Manager and Rawan Al-Ajiliya receiving the Best Gen Z Employee award in recognition of her exceptional potential and commitment.
The event culminated in the unveiling of OSHRM’s new corporate identity and the formal signing of a strategic partnership agreement with Saudi firm Thaarwa, reinforcing Oman’s commitment to adopting and promoting best-in-class HR methodologies.
