Madrid, Spain – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik visited the Monument to the Fallen for Spain in Madrid on Wednesday morning, where he laid a wreath of flowers.
The Monument to the Fallen for Spain is one of the country’s most prominent national landmarks, erected in the memory and honour of all those who have made sacrifices for their nation.

Concludes visit
Later in the afternoon, His Majesty the Sultan left Madrid, concluding a three-day visit.
King Felipe VI led the farewell party for His Majesty the Sultan at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
His Majesty the Sultan sent a cable of thanks and appreciation to King Felipe VI, expressing his gratitude for the splendid reception and gracious hospitality extended to him and the accompanying delegation throughout their visit.

His Majesty the Sultan commended the opportunities created through his meeting with the King of Spain and the Prime Minister to enhance bilateral relations and establish new opportunities of partnership and cooperation across diverse economic, investment, cultural and scientific sectors. His Majesty further conveyed his heartfelt wishes for the king’s enduring success and for the continued prosperity and advancement of the Spanish people.
