Muscat – Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will organise four Ramadan evenings during the holy month focused on economic challenges and opportunities for the business community in the sultanate. The discussions will bring together officials, experts and decision-makers to address key issues affecting the private sector.

The first session on March 10 will explore the significance of Expo Japan 2025 for Oman’s private sector. It will highlight the objectives of the sultanate’s pavilion, planned economic events and programmes, and the role of private sector participation in international expos.

On March 12, the second session will address labour market regulations and employment, including the private sector’s role in job creation and banking challenges faced by both employers and workers.

The third session, scheduled for March 17, will examine the impact of taxation on economic development.

The final session, on March 19, will focus on the economic importance of local content. The discussion will introduce the national strategy for developing local content and its role in supporting SMEs and contributing to the national economy.
