Muscat – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth (MCSY) launched the second edition of the ‘Share the Change’ competition on Sunday, aiming to foster creativity, innovation, and ideas for societal development.
The initiative invites individuals and teams to propose solutions, projects, or concepts that bring positive change in areas such as culture, sports, and youth empowerment. Building on the success of the first edition, this year’s competition expands its scope to engage a wider audience while maintaining its focus on community collaboration and innovation.
Ibrahim al Shibli, chairman of the competition, highlighted that this edition will prioritise education and awareness. “We chose this focus to encourage a cultural shift, helping the community view physical activity as a lifestyle rather than a scheduled task,” he said.
To further enhance the competition’s impact, 25 shortlisted projects will participate in ‘laboratories’—an initiative introduced following the evaluation of the first edition. These labs will provide workshops and skill-building sessions to refine project proposals and boost their potential to serve the community effectively. Entries can be submitted through the competition’s official platform.
