OCCI launches commercial franchise programme

Muscat – The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, launched a commercial franchise programme on Monday that will start from the governorate of Muscat, and later be implemented in other governorates.

The launch was attended by H E Qais bin Mohammed bin Moosa al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in the presence of Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of OCCI.
The programme, to continue till February 23, aims to educate business owners and qualify and develop Omani companies to take advantage of the opportunities in commercial franchising. This will be done by organising seminars and workshops for commercial franchising in the chamber’s branches in the governorates.
Eng Hamoud bin Salim al Saadi, Chairman, OCCI branch in South Batinah, said, “The chamber seeks, through the programme, to support Omani companies to become franchisees or to enable them to reach franchisees. The programme also aims to establish companies specialised in commercial franchising and organise the work mechanism between the parties according to the best experiences in the field field.”
