Oman offers condolences to Iraq, condemns bombings in Somalia

Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman has expressed its sympathy to the Republic of Iraq following the explosion of a fuel tanker in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and condemned terrorist bombings in Somalia.

The Foreign Ministry, in a statement, said, ‘The Sultanate of Oman expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the Republic of Iraq, and to the families of the victims in the explosion of a fuel tanker east of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured.

‘The sultanate also expresses its condemnation of the two bombings that targeted the Ministry of Education in the Somali capital Mogadishu, and expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the Federal Republic of Somalia and to the families of the victims, and wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.’ the statement said.
