ROP continues its vigilance, issues fines

Royal Oman Police (ROP) continues to crack the whip on people and establishments failing to comply with the decisions issued by the Supreme Committee dealing with COVID-19.  

ROP has issued a number of fine notices against people for not complying with Supreme Committee decisions including gatherings and not wearing masks. 

In a statement, ROP said, ‘The violations include a fine against people for gathering in public places, not wearing masks in a public place and performing prayers in the mosques.’ 

Also, a number of shops found not complying with Supreme Committee decisions were fined. 

On Wednesday, ROP issued several statements, announcing fines and violations across many governorates. This is in addition to hundreds of fines already issued over the past few days.  

Police in North and South Batinah issued administrative fines against individuals for gathering in a public place and violating the decisions and conditions of the Supreme Committee dealing with COVID-19. 

In South Sharqiyah, a number of administrative fines against individuals for gathering in public places and not wearing masks were issued. Shops not complying with the decisions concerning the selected activities allowed by the Supreme Committee dealing with COVID-19 were also slapped with fines.  

The Police Command in Dahirah Governorate issued a number of administrative fines against individuals for gathering in public places, not wearing masks, gathering to perform prayers in mosques were issued. Shops were also reported to have been fined for not complying with the decisions.
