More than 140 local and international chefs will display their culinary skills at the Muscat Eat festival to be held at Al Mouj Golf from November 14.
Muscat Eat, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, is organising the third edition of the festival. Sultanate’s largest food festival, Muscat Eat will include three different events: ‘Omani Food Festival’ taking place from November 14 to 16, ‘Food Truck’ carnival from November 28 to 30, and the main event, ‘Muscat Eat’ from December 5 to 7.
The festival, with a number of competitions and entertainment events, aims to attract audiences of all age groups, especially families and children to taste Omani and international cuisines in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and fun, organisers said.
Forty Omani chefs will take part in the Omani Food Festival from the governorates of Muscat, Dhofar, North and South Batinah, North and South Sharqiyah and Dakhliyah. The festival will include an exhibition of Omani craftsmen and performances of music, arts and theatre as well as traditional games.
The Food Truck carnival will be attended by more than 15 owners of food carts to offer different types of food.
The Muscat Eat will be attended by 110 chefs and institutions specialised in food. It will also offer cooking and live tasting and competitions in addition to musical performances by the band ‘Just Jam’. The audience will have an opportunity to test their culinary skills through the ‘Cooking Challenge’ as well.
