More than 350 people including Omanis gathered outside the Palestinian Embassy in Muscat on Monday night to show their solidarity with the people of Gaza.

More than 160,000 Omanis covered under post service pensions law

As many as 163,924 Omani government employees are covered under the Post Service Pensions and Bonuses Law at the end of June 2014, according to the bi-annual statistical report issued by the Civil Service Employees Pension Fund.

According to the ROP, firecrackers are a danger to public safety. 'A tight control has been imposed on all ports to curb any attempts to smuggle firecrackers into Oman.' The ROP has also announced that it will take legal action against anyone found trying to smuggle firecrackers into the sultanate.
