Muscat – Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) celebrated their annual day, which falls on December 11, each year, with a significant military demonstration.

The ceremony took place under the patronage of H E Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Heritage and Tourism, at the Said bin Sultan Naval Base. The event featured a practical display of amphibious landing operations, highlighting the operational readiness and capabilities of the SAF. As part of the proceedings, a ship of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) sailed past, performing a military salute to the Minister, who was the patron of the occasion.

The celebrations underscore the importance of the Sultan’s Armed Forces in safeguarding the Sultanate and demonstrate their commitment to maintaining the highest levels of preparedness.
