FSA withdraws CFI Financial’s licence after violations

21 Sep 2025

Muscat – Oman’s Financial Services Authority (FSA) on Sunday issued an administrative decision to withdraw the licence of CFI Financial LLC from operating in the capital market sector and to remove it from the register of companies authorised to operate in this field.

The decision was issued as the company failed to comply with Article (34/A) of the Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism Law, the FSA said in a statement.

In addition, CFI Financial exceeded the scope of its licence by engaging in the marketing of non-Omani securities without obtaining the necessary authorisation, which constitutes a violation of Article (139) of the Executive Regulations of the Capital Market Law read in conjunction with Article (3) of the Securities Law.

The Financial Services Authority affirmed that this decision reflects its commitment to protecting the integrity and fairness of the financial markets, ensuring that all licensed institutions operating in the capital market comply with the applicable legal and regulatory standards, and safeguarding the public interest.

It is noteworthy that the FSA’s decision was effective from September 18, 2025.
