Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman has successfully facilitated the repatriation of 2,013 individuals including Omani citizens and nationals of friendly and sisterly countries  from the Islamic Republic of Iran, in light of recent exceptional developments in the region.

The evacuation was carried out under the leadership of the Foreign Ministry , in close coordination with the relevant military, security, and civil authorities, and in accordance with the Royal directives.

In a statement, the Ministry expressed its deep appreciation for the constructive cooperation shown by the Iranian authorities, which played a vital role in the success of the operation. It also extended thanks to the brotherly and friendly countries that supported and contributed to this important humanitarian effort.

This initiative reaffirms the Sultanate’s firm commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens, while also reflecting Oman’s longstanding values of human solidarity and its consistent positions in support of regional and international efforts to maintain security and stability.
