Muscat – The value of real estate transactions in the sultanate increased 18.9% to RO1,402.5mn till June this year, compared to RO1,170.3mn in the same period last year, according to the latest data released by National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Fees collected for legal transactions accounted for RO33.4mn at the end of June – an increase of 10.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
The value of sale contracts dropped 1.1% to RO547.7mn; the number of sale contracts also decreased 8.5%.
The value of mortgage contracts rose 52.6% till June to RO852.1mn from 12,062 mortgage contracts.
The value of swap contracts was valued at RO4.8mn from 732 contracts. The number of title deeds issued increased 1.3% to 117,870, while the number of title deeds issued to citizens of GCC countries rose 79.3% to 633.
