Tasnim – Iran’s Civil Aviation Organisation has announced the suspension of Iranian flights to Muscat International Airport from midnight on Wednesday, according to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency.

A spokesperson for the organisation said Iranian flights to Muscat would be suspended from 12 midnight local time.

The announcement was made by the Iranian authorities and reported by Tasnim, making clear that the suspension concerns Iranian flights to Muscat.

The spokesperson said Iranian authorities were also holding intensive consultations to reroute flights bound for Baghdad to Najaf International Airport.

Other international flights, including those to Istanbul, will continue to operate according to their regular schedules, with no changes at present, the spokesperson said.

He added that there were currently no obstacles affecting the operation of those flights.
