Muscat – The Foreign Ministry has launched the ‘Talent and Capacity Development Programme’ for its employees on Monday under the patronage of H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.

The diplomatic programme forms part of projects within the Foreign Ministry to raise the skills of employees in diplomatic work. It seeks to realise the vision of the Sultanate of Oman as a friend to all peoples with the diversity of their cultures.

The aim of the diplomatic programme is to encourage the practice of cultural diplomacy with international professionalism and to encourage knowledge of, and coexistence with, other cultures, stated the ministry.

‘The Talents and Abilities Development Programme aims to prepare practitioners of cultural diplomacy at the highest level, drawing on individual talents and abilities, and enhancing them. The goal is to raise diplomatic efficiency, international interaction in all its richness, and to encourage the openness of Omani diplomats to different cultures and peoples,’ an official statement said.
